I was very pleased with the value I got from reading this book. I’ve been wanting to start growing my own small space garden but I just haven’t felt that I had all the necessary knowledge to do so in a satisfying manner. Let me start by saying that I don't have a green thumb in any way shape or form (it's more brown, or black), but now that I'm looking for weight loss guides and realistic dieting plans like crazy, I think starting my own small garden is also an option to consider...especially now that I have a toddler. I worry about the pesticides and harmful chemicals that linger on produce these days, and growing my own vegetables is one way to be sure they don't get into my child's system frequently.
I literally bought this book, after noticing the word "Small" in the title. I've always been too scared to to start my own gardening project because of all the time, effort, watering, monitoring (the list goes on) that has to happen to make a plant grow! I've always been a little too intimidated, but this ebook gives you three great options to choose from, including a "raised bed garden," which appears to be the one that's best for me, and other than some water benefits, I won't have to bend down to take care of them (back issues). You'll not only get instruction of what materials you need, but the steps it will take to grow what you want effectively.
This one's a quick read, and gets 4-stars from me. We'll see if I can actually grow something without killing it...
This book was great for figuring out just how I want to set up my garden. I love how it goes into exactly which vegetables to plant for each part of the year. Another neat thing about this book is it also walks you through setting up an indoor garden as well. Highly recommended book on gardening!

Each category of raised bed gardening, square foot gardening, and container gardening are effectively covered giving pros and cons of each. The best soil mixes for each type is well covered. The only reason I didn't give 5 Stars was because there were no photos which I feel add much to teaching books. I recommend this book.
This book is useful to lifelong gardeners as well as those who are just starting out. Alexis Boyd shares her knowledge of small-scale gardening in a way that is both informative and practical. She proves that a lack of space is no excuse not to garden. Small Space Garden is a great step towards growing your own herbs and vegetables and the feeling of accomplishment that comes along with it.

I got from. Although everything I read from this book makes a lot of sense, I’m not going to give it 5 stars because I haven’t yet applied the book’s information.
